We are looking for a dedicated On-Call Drone Response Support (m/f/d) who thrives in an innovative environment and contributes significantly to our success.
THE MISSION:
For our newest location in Kassel, Germany we are looking for an On-Call Drone Response Support (M/F/D). In this position, you will serve as a local standby contact during daytime weekday hours and provide on the ground support in the rare event of an operational drone incident, such as an unscheduled emergency landing or recovery situation. You will act as a reliable local extension of our operations team, helping ensure safe, calm, and professional handling on route in line with Jedsy procedures.
This is a flexible standby role with a fixed weekly on-call compensation, plus additional pay for any response hours actually worked. We currently expect only a very small number of response situations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Remain available on a standby basis during agreed daytime hours from Monday to Friday
Travel at short notice to a location in the Kassel area if operational support is needed
Support on-site response activities in accordance with Jedsy procedures and instructions
Help secure and assess the situation until the next operational steps are determined
Communicate clearly and reliably with Jedsy’s operations team and pilots
Assist with local drone recovery support and general incident handling
Provide accurate updates and basic documentation following any response
Represent Jedsy professionally when interacting with third parties on site
YOUR PROFILE:
- Based in the Kassel area or within quick driving distance
- Available during daytime hours Monday to Friday
- Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle
- Calm, dependable, and able to react well in unexpected situations
- Comfortable working independently while following clear procedures
- Able to communicate confidently in German on site and in English with our operations team and pilots
- Ability to lift and maneuver
- Interest in aviation, emergency response, technology, or field operations is a plus
